Student Activities Include:

Competitions at the local, state, and national levels. CAMTA's Annual Piano Contest is geared toward high achievers who wish to test their skills against others outside the studio. Repertoire is divided into five levels of difficulty, the highest of which may be a concerto. The contest is open to anyone in primary or secondary school. There are no other age requirements. Click here for information on the Roberta Savler Contest.

Student recitals held twice each year. The recitals afford students the opportunity to perform on a fine instrument in a tasteful, non-threatening environment.

The Philippe Gelinas Ticket Fund has been created with donations made in the name of our beloved past president, Philippe Gelinas. As the founder of CAMTA's program to obtain discounted tickets for the piano series, Phil believed that the future of concerts depends on youthful attendance now. All CAMTA teachers may select two students from their studio to attend a selected concert subsidized by the fund. click here

The CAMTA Jazz Festival is an opportunity for piano students of all ages and levels to perform solos and ensembles in a relaxed atmosphere exploring various styles of jazz. A guest jazz artist is featured. click here

The CAMTA Composition Festival is designed to encourage the writing of original creative compositions. click here.

The Piano Technique Festival allows students of any age to perform, for evaluation;
four categories of technique, plus one etude in a recital setting.
Scores of at least 95 win a trophy.
