About Jaroslaw-YARO

Education: Chapter Master in Art Degree in Composition, Theory and Conductiong; Master in Music Education (piano emphasis) from Karol Lipinski Academy of Music, Worclaw, Poland.

Performance: Appeared as a soloist and ensemble pianist, conductor, and lecturer in the U.S. and abroad. Jaroslaw writes about his adventures with music for various newspapers and has appeared frequently as a guest on radio programs.

As a piano teacher, Jarolslaw uses the Suzuki Method with young children and the Leiomer-Gieseking method with high school and adult students. He has published many pieces written especially for his students. Teaching composition is his other specialty.

As a geographic consideration Yaro is currently seeking students in Evanston, Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Chicago's North Shore and along the Chicago Lakefront.

Studio Policy

In most cases, lessons are given at the student's home.

Tuition is due at the beginning of the month.

Make up lessons are only given in the case of illness
when there has been 24 hour notice.

There is one annual student recital in June.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of all workshops, recitals,
festivals, and competitions for which the teacher, student, and parents
feel he or she is prepared.

Students are expected to continue lessons through the summer.

All students are required to have a well maintained instrument, a metronome and a music dictionary.

Personal Statement

I feel that music is a wonderful means of self-expression and a rich source of inner peace and relaxation. Making music is a way of making friends and bringing happiness to other people.  I believe that my music is one of the ways to build understanding and better relations in this small world.
