Fee: Free for 2 students per CAMTA Teacher, $20 per additional ticket
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, October 9, 2026
CAMTA members may select two students who will commit to attending (age 8 through high school). You will receive two free tickets for your students along with any extra tickets you purchased which are available for $20 for other students/parents. The tickets will be emailed to the teacher.

Bruce Liu:
Ever since his meteoric rise at the 2021 International Chopin Competition, Bruce Liu has roused audiences with performances that balance breathtaking power and poetic refinement. Don’t miss the chance to be swept up by his “immaculate pianism” and “fiery virtuosity” (Chicago Classical Review) in his highly anticipated return to Chicago.
About Philippe Gelinas
Phil enjoyed the piano series whether hearing a famous or almost famous performer. As the founder of CAMTA’s program to obtain discounted tickets for the piano series, Phil believed that the future of concerts depends on youthful attendance now.
Phil had a special ability to teach a very wide variety of students. You may choose a student because he or she has never been to a concert, has worked especially hard, is interested in majoring in music, or for any reason you think is worthy.
The fund was begun in his honor as he was president of CAMTA for many years and built our membership with his curiosity for learning about music and people. He was one of the first to get an Apple IIe computer and took it with him when teaching in students’ homes. Phil died while waiting for his next student. His encouragement and acceptance of new ideas made him an ideal leader.
